Memu: 100 Postcards (Chronicle Books, 2014) by James Jean (BFA 2001 Illustration): Renowned illustrator, artist and fashion designer James Jean presents a collection of his award-winning work in the form of 100 postcards, all contained in a gorgeously silkscreened, cloth-covered box. If You’re Still Reading This, There’s Still Time (Cameron & Company, 2014) by Joseph Morley Patrick (BFA 2004 Film and Video): Los Angeles-based street artist Morley is known for his humorous and hopeful typographic posters, which he wheat pastes in and around urban landscapes. This book is the first published collection of Morley’s work and contains personal stories by the artist as well. For more info, click here.
The Lovers (Schilt Publishing, 2015) by Lauren Fleishman (BFA 2001 Photography): Inspired by love letters Fleishman found that were written by her grandfather to her grandmother during World War II, The Lovers is a photo series that captures couples that have been together for over 50 years. Fleishman’s 166-page book combines striking color photographs with intimate stories of the elderly couples she documents. For more info, click here.
