The 2015 PULSE New York Contemporary Art Fair takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion, located at 125 West 18th Street in Manhattan, from Thursday, March 5, through Sunday, March 8. This year, for the first time, SVA Galleries is participating, hosting a booth featuring the work of nine students and one alumnus and contributing a piece to the fair’s PROJECTS program. For the next several days, SVA Close Up will spotlight the work of the selected SVA artists on our Facebook and Twitter pages. To kick things off, here’s a look at MFA Fine Arts student Sarah Dineen.
Dineen, whose work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York City, her native Massachusetts and elsewhere, has contributed her painting Certain Dark Things #35 (above) to the SVA Galleries booth, which will be located in PULSE’s POINTS section, reserved for “alternative models and not-for-profit organizations.” She will also be showing several drawings, available for viewing on an iPad.
