SVA Acting Chairman Milton Glaser has put his design skills to work to help raise money for victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Teaming up with Architecture for Humanity and Rise for Japan (which was created by a group of New York-designers in response to the tragedy), Glaser has crafted an exquisite poster in honor of the rebuilding efforts going on in that country and to help raise awareness.
Limited to a hand numbered edition of 500, each “Rise for Japan” poster is printed on handmade Japanese paper using a classic letterpress. All proceeds from the sale of the posters go to Architecture for Humanity’s rebuilding work in the Tohoku region of Japan, the area most devastated.
