Honor Roll: Yooin Cho Wins Brand New Award

May 17, 2011

The Brand New Awards is a juried competition recognizing the best identity work produced around the world during 2010, and this year current BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department student Yooin Cho has been selected as one of the award winners. In the Comprehensive Identity Program (Student) category, Cho won for an identity rebranding project for the Neue Gallerie.

The identity and colors were inspired by 20th-century artists displayed at the gallery, including Gustav Klimt, Richard Gerstl and Josef Hoffmann. Cho explains, “The logo communicates the history of European art in modern society, not only through the essential shapes that are used over decades but also with the contemporary typefaces.”
