In The Press: Zach Klein in the New York Observer

March 8, 2011

In a recent article in the New York Observer, MFA Interaction Design Department faculty member Zach Klein is quoted as saying, “I’m a domain addict. I own hundreds of domain names.” Currently setting his students to build a viable product by the end of the semester, Klein was then inspired to issue an open plea to the internet asking people to send their neglected domains: “Stop cruel treatment of unused domains.”

Klein says of the URL-reclamation drive, “Domains represent ideas, that first manic seedling of an idea before it’s thought through. We thought it’d be fun to collect them and try to get my class to build them out just so that these ideas could exist.”
