In The Press: Tobi Kahn in The New York Times

In a recent article about BFA Fine Arts faculty member Tobi Kahn for The New York Times, writer Samuel Freedman describes the inspiration for Kahn’s work, aspiring to offer solace to those before the end of their lives.

“Art Intended to Make the End of Life Beautiful” details the combination of Kahn’s Jewish background, important life experiences and focused art practice that led to his body of painting, sculpture and installation work. Having dealt with the illness and death of close friends and family, Kahn says, “People say your wedding should be beautiful, your birth should be beautiful. Why not your death?”
