Honor Roll: Wrath of Cannes

Tackling the issue of drunk driving in a way that’s both engaging for the consumer and promotional for a vendor, BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department students Mark Forsman and Vinny Garbellano created Walk the Line, a proposal for an iPhone app that allows users to self-administer a version of typical sobriety test: walking a straight line. Forsman and  Garbellano conceived the app as a promotional tool for Jack Daniels, and their proposal won Best In Show at Wrath of Cannes, a New York advertising competition that runs concurrently with the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in France. Forsman and  Garbellano are both students of instructor Frank Anselmo, who teaches Unconventional Advertising at SVA.
