In The Press: Johan Grimonprez in the New York Post and The New York Times

June 3, 2010

Playing through Tuesday, June 15 at Film Forum, 209 West Houston Street, Johan Grimonprez’s part-fiction, part-documentary film Double Take examines Alfred Hitchcock’s films and TV shows of the late 1950s and early 1960s in the context of the Cold War. The New York Post review reads, “Like the Master of Suspense’s best films, Double Take… is an intellectual puzzle that also works as a thoroughly accessible entertainment”; the film was also positively reviewed by The New York Times.

Grimonprez teaches in the MFA Fine Arts Department and previously spoke with the Briefs about his film. View the Double Take trailer below.
