Arts Abroad: MFA Design in Venice and Rome

June 2, 2009

One in a series of occasional dispatches from SVA’s Summer Arts Abroad programs.

This year the MFA Design Department organized a summer program entitled Masters Workshop: Design History, Theory and Practice in Venice and Rome. Participants are studying visual communication with Italian and American designers and design historians. As part of this two-week traveling workshop, the students are also keeping a daily blog of their on-location European experiences and are posting extensive photo sets.

Click here to read about their Day 3 visit to Gianni Basso’s Venetian letterpress shop, and visit to keep up to date with the complete blog of the May 24 – June 6 program.
