It Matters

March 3, 2009

In addition to teaching in the BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department and penning popular books about design, faculty member Debbie Millman is also the host of the Web-radio talk show Design Matters. Each Friday afternoon at 3pm, Millman leads a spirited discussion about graphic design, branding and other related topics.

For two recent episodes, Millman hosted members of the SVA community: on Friday, February 6, her guests were Steven Heller and Lita Talarico, co-chairs of the MFA Design Department and co-authors of The Design Entrepreneur: Turning Graphic Design into Goods that Sell (Rockport Publishers, 2008). They spoke to Millman just ahead of their upcoming lectures in Japan and South Korea. And on Friday, February 27, longtime faculty member and Acting Chairman Milton Glaser joined Millman and fellow guests Patrick Coyne of Communication Arts magazine and Cheryl Heller, CEO of Heller Communication Design.
