In the Press: Brian Donnelly on CBS Sunday Morning

Artist and alumnus Brian Donnelly (BFA 1996 Illustration), better known to the the public by his pseudonym KAWS, continues to attract new fans. Over the weekend he was featured in a TV interview on CBS Sunday Morning as part of a series about “graffiti artists who are turning a corner into the mainstream.” Donnelly first gained notice in the early 1990s with his culture-tweaking street art, and his current projects include the designer product line OriginaFake (consisting of items ranging from T-shirts and hats to towels and ashtrays) and cover art for Kanye West’s best-selling CD 808s and Heartbreak (Roc-A-Fella Records, 2008).

Donnelly will show new painting and sculptural works at his solo exhibition “The Long Way Home,” running February 21 – April 4 at the Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles. For images and a transcript from the CBS Sunday Morning profile, click here.
