September 12, 2008

For the fifth consecutive year, the BFA Film, Video and Animation Department is collaborating with Celebrate Mexico Now, a citywide festival of contemporary Mexican art and culture, to screen work created by Mexico’s top independent filmmakers. This year’s program, titled 5×5, features five innovative short subjects by recent recipients of Tribeca Film Institute Media Arts Fellowships, all of whom have also been recognized during the first five years of Mexico’s Morelia International Film Festival.

The 5×5 screening will take place on Friday, September 12, 7pm, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd-floor amphitheater, and will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers. All films are in Spanish with English subtitles, and the event is free and open to the public.
