Stay In Touch

August 8, 2008

The MPS Art Therapy Department has just re-launched its newsletter, In Touch, in an online format. The newsletter focuses on all aspects of the department’s activities, highlighting the voices of students, faculty and alumni who work in art therapy at SVA, in New York City and around the world.

The latest issue, which is available here, starts with a statement from Department Chair Deborah Farber, who says, “The department was conceived with a humanistic philosophy as its foundation. Essential to this philosophy is the notion that when two people come together, for any reason, under any circumstance, each one has the potential to affect the other.” The spring 2008 edition of In Touch also features information about the upcoming Art Therapy Conference in October; reflections on art therapy in the global community by faculty member Rebecca DiSunno; the results of the department’s recent alumni survey; and more.
