iTunes 4 U

June 13, 2008

As part of its expanding efforts to make audio and video content available online, Apple has created the iTunesU program, which allows colleges and universities to post lectures, course materials, student work and other multimedia files on iTunes. One of the first colleges of art and design to join the initiative, SVA has just launched a public iTunesU catalogue of offerings from several undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as recordings of campus lectures and events.

To access iTunesU, go to the iTunes Store and click the link in the left column; from there, you can find SVA in the list of universities and colleges providing downloadable content. On the SVA page, browse by department and download free audio and video files, including digital animation work from students in the undergraduate and graduate computer art departments, audio recordings of past Distinguished Alumni Lectures, video archives of student thesis work from the MFA Design Department and more.
