2008 marks the fourth straight year that SVA’s Web site (www.sva.edu) has been named as a finalist in the annual Webby Awards. Presented to the world’s top Web sites, online videos and ads by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, Webbys are awarded in nearly 70 categories, including Activism, Humor, Political Blogs and Schools, the category in which the College earned its nomination. The official winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 6, and the polls are open for People’s Voice Award voting in each category. To vote for SVA’s site, visit pv.webbyawards.com; voting ends on Thursday, May 1.
In addition to the top-prize categories, a separate slate of sites and videos have already been awarded Honoree Webbys. Fit Song, an online video created by MFA Design Department student David Ricart, is one of the honorees in the Student category.
