How magazine has just published its 2008 International Design Annual, featuring nearly 300 examples of award-winning print and interactive design work in over two dozen categories. In the Student Work category, BFA Advertising and Graphic Design students Sang Hee Jin and Jiyoon Lee each received a merit award, and classmate Jin Young Lee was recognized four times for a series of design projects: the Today I’m… visual research book, packaging for Beaulieu Vineyard wines, Hex Tools brand identity and packaging, and a collection of books by Albert Camus.
In other design award news, each year designer George Tscherny creates an exclusive wall calendar for SVA, and the 2008 edition has been awarded a Certificate of Typographic Excellence by the Type Directors Club (TDC). The work will be included in the Typography 29 annual and appear in the TDC’s 54th awards exhibition later this year.
