The Society of Illustrators (SOI), in collaboration with the political publication The Nation, is hosting a topical exhibition entitled “Artists Against the War.” Featuring the work of more than 60 graphic artists and illustrators, the show aims sharp visual critiques at the political and cultural forces driving the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Among the artists contributing to “Artists Against the War” are SVA’s Acting Chairman Milton Glaser, MFA Illustration as Visual Essay Department Chair Marshall Arisman, BFA Illustration and Cartooning Department Chair Thomas Woodruff, alumnus Nathan Fox (MFA 2002 Illustration as Visual Essay), and faculty members Steve Brodner, Seymour Chwast, Mirko Ilic, Francis Jetter and Peter Kuper. “Artists Against the War” will be at the SOI’s gallery, 128 East 63rd Street, and on its Web site, societyillustrators.org, through Saturday, January 26.
