Digital Darkroom

The College’s new MPS Digital Photography Department is hosting its first public lecture on Tuesday, December 4, featuring renowned landscape photographer Stephen Johnson. Johnson is digital-photography pioneer who has helped shape the technology for today’s (and tomorrow’s) digital image makers. Based on his latest book, Stephen Johnson on Digital Photography (O’Reilly Media), the lecture will cover the history of electronic imaging, the transformation of the darkroom, ethics in the digital age and trends in digital photography for the future.

Johnson’s talk will take place at 7pm in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor, and is free and open to the public.
