For the next installment of the ongoing Distinguished Alumni Lecture series, the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs welcomes alumnus Tom Sito (BFA 1977 Animation). A 30-year veteran of animated film production, Sito’s credits include the Disney classics The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Lion King (1994), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) and Pocahantas (1995). In addition, his book Drawing the Line: The Untold Story of Animation Labor from Silent Cartoons to CGI (University Press of Kentucky) was hailed by the London Review of Books as a “must-read,” and he is currently directing Car Talk, the first primetime animated series for PBS, based on the hit NPR radio show.
Sito will discuss his work and career on Tuesday, November 27, 7pm, in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor; the event is free and open to the public.
