Web Sikh

October 5, 2007

Alumnus Jesse Willmon (MFA 2006 Design) recently took on a project aimed at helping an underserved online audience. Working with the Sikh Coalition, Willmon developed a Web site for children raised in the Sikh faith, one of the world’s largest religions. KhalsaKids.org lets Sikh children connect with each other and share experiences, get information on how to combat discrimination and bullying, and learn more about their rights; the site also connects parents with each other and helps teachers create lesson plans that introduce Sikhism to youngsters.
