Joining the Club

October 5, 2007

SVA’s Executive Vice President Anthony P. Rhodes has been invited to join the board of directors of the Art Directors Club (ADC), a professional organization that brings together the top visual communicators from a range of industries. Founded in New York in 1920, the ADC states as its mission, “To promote the highest standards of excellence and integrity in visual communications and to encourage students and young professionals entering the field.”

The full board of directors includes business and creative executives from some of New York City’s top design and communications companies, but up until now had no representatives from the city’s world of arts education. According to Rhodes, “I think the mission of the ADC lines up perfectly with the mission of SVA. I’m proud to be representing the College—and, in effect, the entire arts-education community—on the organization’s board.”
