Mind Your Matters

September 28, 2007

Two recent graduates from the MFA Design Department have won Sappi “Ideas That Matter” grants: Masood Ahmed (MFA 2007 Design) and Lara McCormick (MFA 2007 Design) have been selected by the Sappi paper company for grants that recognize design that serves the public good. Ahmed won for The Innocence Project, which focuses on human rights; and McCormick was selected for Stop and Start Over, a series of online and offline resources that she designed for people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Sappi has been providing “Ideas That Matter” grants since 1999, to enable the implementation of creative ideas designed to support social and environmental causes.
