This summer, SVA is reaching out to aspiring filmmakers who want to get an early start on a career in the movies. The BFA Film, Video and Animation Department is collaborating with the 92nd Street Y for its new Filmmaking Camp, which is being offered to children ages 9 – 11. The camp will run from July 30 – August 10, and will have SVA film students teaching basic filmmaking skills. The children will learn to make their own short films, using mini-DV cameras and computer editing programs.
