The Visual Arts Gallery is kicking off the new year with the opening of a quartet of new exhibitions. “Wonder” is a photography exhibition featuring work by current students Joeonna Bellorado-Samuels, Julia Cybularz, Hugo Fernandes, Lauren Kearns Jones, Yusuke Nishimura and Arin Yoon, exploring different approaches to social and imagined realities; in “Camera Work,” photographs by current students Emily Felger, Erin Gleeson, Nicola Kast and Rory O’Neill survey a diverse range of subjects, including mass-media imagery, post-Katrina New Orleans, identity and self-injury; “Disembody” is an exhibition of work by 13 BFA Photography Department students and alumni, exploring ways in which relationships to the physical body are fractured, mediated and controlled, curated by Seth Greenwald; and in “Selected Works,” photography by undergraduates Simon Chantasirivisal, Amy Klein and Darlene Lin is curated by Tim Maul.

All four shows are on view at the Visual Arts Gallery, 601 West 26th Street, 15th floor, through January 13. There will be a reception for all of the artists on Thursday, January 11, 6 – 8pm.
