The Coalition for the Homeless (CFTH), the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless men, women and children, is presenting a good way to lend a helping hand this holiday season. On Wednesday, November 29, CFTH will host ARTWALK NY, its annual auction to raise funds for the group’s charitable work. The auction includes artworks donated by Elinor Carucci (faculty), Stephen Frailey (chair, BFA Photography Department), Chaim Garcia (BFA 2004 Illustration), Kate Gilmore (MFA 2002 Fine Arts), Suzanne McClelland (faculty), Sean Mellyn (faculty), Keren Moscovitch (MFA 2005 Photography, Video and Related Media), Aïda Ruilova (MFA 1999 Photography and Related Media), Amy Stein (MFA 2006 Photography, Video and Related Media), Billy Sullivan (1968 Fine Arts; faculty), Nicholas Prior (MFA 2004 Photography, Video and Related Media), Lane Twitchell (MFA 1995 Illustration as Visual Essay) and Penelope Umbrico (MFA 1989 Fine Arts; faculty).
The evening will take place at the Puck Building, 295 Lafayette Street, and will include both a live and silent auction of works, and will honor painter and filmmaker Julian Schnabel. For more information on ARTWALK NY, visit the CFTH Web site.
