Portfolio Polish

October 20, 2006

On Thursday, October 12, the Office of Career Development brought 44 employers to the SVA campus for the annual Internship Fair. Approximately 300 students with résumés and portfolios in hand came to the lobby of 209 East 23rd Street to meet with companies like Animation Collective, Artists Space, Firstborn Multimedia, G2 Branding & Design, MTV Networks, Penguin Group, Sesame Workshop, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, TVI Designs, Universal Music Group and WCBS-TV to vie for spots in the College’s for-credit internship program.

“This year’s Internship Fair was a great success,” says Leigh Winter, assistant director of career development. “The company representatives were clearly impressed with our students, and the students are going to get tremendous real-world work experience from these internships.” Students who want to get more information about SVA’s internship program should contact the Office of Career Development at cd@sva.edu or 212.592.2370.
