Low-Key Locale

April 21, 2006

In the midst of SVA’s busy season of end-of-the-year exhibitions, the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media Department is presenting its students’ work in a slightly different format. The department’s Spring Salon is an informal display of student work from the spring 2006 semester. Students, faculty and staff will be on hand for low-key mingling in the midst of work displayed on the walls of the MFA program’s studios and classrooms. The Salon takes place on Friday, April 21, 6:30 – 9pm, at 214 East 21st Street, and is free and open to the public.

The department will also be having a more formal exhibition of thesis projects, “The Early Work,” from June 16 – July 1, in the Visual Arts Gallery, 601 West 26th Street, 15th floor; there will be a reception for the artists on Tuesday, June 20, 6 – 8pm.
