Each semester, the BFA and MFA Fine Arts Departments invite the public into their workspaces for open-studios events. The spring 2006 open studios are taking place over the next several days, with works in a wide array of media on display. The BFA Fine Arts Department kicks things off by opening the doors of the sculpture studio, 30 West 17th Street, on April 22 – 23, 12 noon – 6pm, with a reception on Monday, April 24, 5 – 9pm.
The BFA department’s painting studios, 141 West 21st Street, 4th and 6th floors, will be open for a reception on Thursday, April 27, 5 – 9pm. That same night, there will be an opening reception for the MFA Fine Arts Department’s own open studios at 141 West 21st Street, 8th and 9th floors, 5 – 9pm. The MFA students’ studios will continue to be open through Friday, April 28, 12 noon – 8pm, and Saturday, April 29, 12 noon – 6pm. All open-studios events are free and open to the public.
