One day in July 2002, Doug Bruce (BFA 2005 Photography) boarded a Brooklyn-bound subway in NYC, and found that he suddenly could not remember anything about himself or his life. The journey of personal rediscovery of this former stockbroker is detailed in Unknown White Male, a new documentary film by director Rupert Murray. The film, which also features BFA Photography Department Chair Stephen Frailey, will have a premiere screening on Friday, February 24, at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema, 143 East Houston Street. For more info and showtimes, visit the Landmark Sunshine’s Web site.
Also, three 2005 BFA Photography Department graduates, Jeremiah Dart, Katie Kingma and Dianne Lowry, are the subjects of “Cinematic Stories: Three Young Photographers,” an exhibition at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale, 5901 Palisade Avenue in Riverdale, through Wednesday, March 15.
