Advanced Art

February 3, 2006

The College Board’s program of Advanced Placement (AP) courses is designed to challenge the best and brightest high school students in a variety of disciplines. Marcy Capron, a first-year student in the BFA Photography Department, was an AP Studio Art student at Illinois’ Loyola Academy, and her work from that course has been selected by the College Board for the AP Studio Art Exhibit 2005 – 06, at the Britto Central Gallery in Miami. Capron is one of 30 artists selected from a worldwide pool of approximately 24,000 AP Studio Art students. Her winning work will be on view at the gallery February 10 – March 10.
