New Yorkers love getting out of the city over the summer, and several SVA alumni are doing just that with their recent work. Farthest afield is Marya Kazoun (MFA 2004 Fine Arts) who is exhibiting Personal Living Space as part of the 51st edition of the esteemed Venice Biennale. Kazoun’s performance/installation is on display at the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava through Sunday, November 6. Back in the U.S.A., BFA Photography faculty member Marc Joseph is showing “Pictures from American Pitbull” at Western Project in Culver City, California, through Saturday, July 9. And just up the Hudson River from NYC, Vera Lutter (MFA 1995 Photography and Related Media) is showing “Nabisco Factory, Beacon,” a collection of four large-scale pinhole camera photographs, at Dia: Beacon through Monday, April 10, 2006.
