Tessa French, a second-year BFA Interior Design Department student, has won the national Herman Miller student design competition, which includes an all-expense-paid trip in June to Chicago for NeoCon, the world’s largest interior design convention. French’s work will be on display at the Herman Miller booth. The project, a boutique advertising agency, utilized visual imagery from video games and high-tech materials, such as gel tiles that change color when walked on and a futuristic tunnel with computerized lighting.
