On Thursday, May 5, 6 – 8pm, the BFA Computer Art Department will be holding its annual Portfolio Night, showcasing the work of this year’s graduating class, at 141 West 21st Street, Second and Third Floors. The event will also double as the opening reception for the department’s year-end exhibition of student work, featuring thesis projects in computer animation, digital video and interactive media. The exhibition will be on display in the building’s Westside Gallery from April 30 – May 21.
In other computer art news, second-year MFA Computer Art Department student Ludwing Amadeus Montoya will have his film Circunstancias/Circumstances premiering at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival on Wednesday, May 4. The hour-long film, following two lovers whose relationship is threatened when one decides to move to New York, will be screened at 10:10pm, as part of a program of short films at the Village East Cinema, 181 Second Avenue.
