Art Therapy Lecture Series

Starting in the fall 2004 semester, the MPS Art Therapy Department has presented a lecture series that has brought several notable speakers to SVA’s campus in a forum open to the College’s entire community. The latest lecture in the series is “Recovery from Trauma Spectrum Disorders: The Role of the Creative Arts Therapies,” by David Johnson, Ph.D. Johnson is the director of the Institutes for the Arts in Psychotherapy and the former editor-in-chief of the International Journal of the Arts in Psychotherapy. The lecture will take place on Thursday, February 17, 6:30pm, in the MPS Art Therapy Open Studio, 132 West 21st Street, Third Floor. Admission is free, but attendees need to RSVP at 212.592.2610 or
