An Animator Abroad

February 18, 2005

In the summer of 2005, 50 students from around the world will travel to France to attend the First International Digital Media Meeting. Third-year BFA Animation student Lisa LaBracio is the only American chosen by the French government to attend. She will be spending July 1 – 23 in Angoulême, Paris and Valenciennes, with all expenses paid by the French American Cultural Exchange. The three-week conference will bring students together with French animation professionals and give them access to the country’s top educational facilities. There were only four finalists from the United States considered for participation in the conference; all were SVA students.
