Each summer, students are given the opportunity to travel to Florence, Italy, for an intensive program of photography work and study. Students who participated in this past summer’s Photography in Florence program are exhibiting their work in “SVA in Florence,” 214 East 21st Street, Sixth Floor, through Friday, October 29. Photography in Florence is part of SVA’s summer Arts Abroad offerings, which also include Art of Ancient Greece, Painting in Florence and Painting in Barcelona.
The “SVA in Florence” show features work by Stav Aharoni, Lee Kyung Kim, Meagan McLaughlin, Dina Pizzarello, Sophia Rao and Sean Siegel, all of whom joined instructor James Rudnick and staff members John DeLuca and Michelle Mercurio for three weeks in Florence during May 27 – June 19, 2004. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
