Several artists from the College’s MFA programs have work on display around town this week. Stephen Savage (MFA 1996 Illustration as Visual Essay; and instructor, BFA Illustration and Cartooning) will be signing copies of the children’s book Polar Bear Night, which is illustrated by Savage and written by Lauren Thompson. Savage will be signing copies October 2 – 3 in the Scholastic booth as part of the New York Is Book Country Festival, Washington Square Park, 11am – 5pm.
Jessie Tong (MFA 2003 Fine Arts) and Shwufen Lee (MFA 2003 Photography and Video) are both part of “Butternut Ink: The 14th Annual Exhibition” at the Asian American Arts Centre, 26 Bowery, through Friday, November 5. And Yevgeniy Fiks (MFA 1999 Computer Art), along with undergrad grads Mitchell Marco (BFA 1999 Fine Arts) and Francis Michael Palazzolo (BFA 1985 Fine Arts), will have work in “The Presidency” at Exit Art, 475 Tenth Avenue, October 2 – November 21; there will be an opening reception on Saturday, October 2, 7 – 10pm.
