Two panel discussions about fashion photography will be held at the College as part of an ongoing collaboration between SVA and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). How Do You Make a Fashion Photograph? (Wednesday, April 21, 6:30pm, in the SVA Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, third floor) will feature Eva Respini, the assistant curator of MoMA’s Department of Photography, moderating a discussion with photographer Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Dennis Freedman (creative director of W magazine), Cathy Horyn (New York Times fashion critic) and MFA Photography Department instructor Collier Schorr (BFA 1984 Communications Arts). The second discussion, The Dissemination of Fashion Photography will be held on Wednesday, April 28, at 6:30pm in the Amphitheater. Tickets to both events are free with valid SVA ID, and can be picked up at MoMA Queens’ lobby ticketing desk, 33rd Street at Queens Boulevard; and the MoMA Design Store, 44 West 53rd Street.
