The Clothesline Project was created in 1990 in an effort to increase awareness of the impact of violence against women. T-shirts are designed in tribute to survivors and victims of sexual violence. SVA’s Office of Student Health Services is hosting two shirt-making sessions for anyone who would like to contribute to this year’s project: Monday, April 12, 5 – 6:30pm; and Thursday, April 15, 5 – 6:30pm. Materials will be provided. If you would like to participate, please contact Nicole Rohatsch at 212.592.2246, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The shirts made by SVA students and staff for the 2003 Clothesline Project are on display in the George Washington Residence Mezzanine, 23 Lexington Avenue, throughout April.
