“When I moved to New York, I discovered a place where the walk is often a destination in and of itself. In sixteen years of walking, my camera remains my perfect (and constant) companion. On these walks to nowhere, I observe rhythms and create my own fictions.”
This is from a statement made by Jeffrey Ladd (BFA 1991 Photography) regarding his work in New York & Elsewhere, an exhibition now on view through December 6 at Jen Bekman Gallery, 6 Spring Street. The exhibition presents a series of Ladd’s black and white photography; artifacts of his travels through New York City and beyond.
