Goliath is Back

November 20, 2003

After a hiatus of nearly a year, Goliath Visual Space has returned and will present its fall Open Studios, November 21 through November 23, featuring the work of several SVA alumni. Goliath Visual Space, 117 Dobbin Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, was founded by husband and wife artists and SVA alumni Erik Guzman and Mayumi Hayashi. They created Goliath in 1998 to bring critical art into the public domain in a comfortable setting. The Open Studios reception will be held November 21, from 6 to 9pm, and the studios will be open from Noon to 6pm on both November 22 and 23.

The SVA alumni included in the Open Studios at Goliath include: Erik Guzman (MFA 2003, BFA 1997 Fine Arts); Mayumi Hayashi (BFA 1997 Fine Arts); Nick London (BFA 2001 Fine Arts); Jessie Tong (MFA 2003 Fine Arts); Nicolas Touron (MFA 2003 Fine Arts); and Nagisa Wada (BFA 2003 Fine Arts).
