International Collision

October 31, 2003

Boasting very different styles of art, five New York City-based artists, including Evan Crane (BFA 2003 Illustration), have joined together as Art Collision. The group, which includes artists Mario Camacho, Kneel Crump, Roger Gaitan and Bernard Bolter, will tour their exhibition in the United States and Europe through June 2004. The next stop is the Tribes Gallery, 285 East 3rd Street, on November 15, 8 to 11pm. From New York the group will make three stops in the Netherlands and move on to San Francisco, Austin and Baltimore. Exhibition dates and venues will be posted and updated regularly online.

Crane was born and raised in New York City. The mixed-media book art he presents in the tour is a reaction to what he believes to be his constants in life: “My relationships with people, both platonic and sexual, as well as handling the intensity of a multi-faceted metropolis.”
