Art Walks & Talks

To kick off the 2003-04 art season, the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) in association with the Downtown Arts Projects (DAP) is pleased to present a series of FREE art walks in Chelsea and Williamsburg, September 13 and 14. Four curators will lead tours through their exhibition “picks”, featuring talks with many of the artists/curators, including artists associated with SVA such as Barnaby Furnas (BFA 1996 Fine Arts), Seth Kelly (BFA 1995 Fine Arts), Stephen Shore (BFA Photography faculty) and Banks Violette (BFA 1998 Fine Arts). The curators conducting the event are: Simon Watson, founder of the Downtown Arts Project, independent curator/writer and partner at Scenic; Shamin Momin, director and curator, Whitney Museum at Altria; Erik Parker, artist; and Vince Aletti, senior art editor, Village Voice.
