Good A.I.M.

August 1, 2003

There’s a host of work created by SVA folks in A.I.M. 23 at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse at 165 Street. A.I.M. 23 marks the end of this year’s Artist in the Marketplace (A.I.M.) professional development program for emerging artists without gallery representation. A.I.M. was founded in 1980 with the goal of empowering emerging artists from the New York metropolitan area to take charge of their careers by providing them with information and professional skills. The exhibition presents a broad range of contemporary artistic concerns. Artists affiliated with SVA include: Isaac Diggs (faculty, BFA Photography), Joe Fig (BFA 1991, MFA 2002 Fine Arts), Kate Gilmore (MFA 2002 Fine Arts), Anibal Jorge Pella (BFA 1990 Photography), Mariam Ghani (MFA 2002 Photography) and Ofer Wolberger (MFA 2001 Photography). A.I.M. 23 is on view through September 28.
