Wide Open Spaces

May 9, 2003

Exploring an artist’s studio can provide a personal glimpse into his or her creative process. Two separate studio spaces will be hosting open studios next week. The Batso Art Space, 225 West 36 Street, 5th floor, will be open on May 15 from 6:30 – 9pm and May 17 from 1 – 6pm. The space features the studios of four MFA illustration alumni: Gabriela Bertiller (2001), George Boorujy (2002), Helen Lenio Grohmann (2000) and Alexis Shein (2001). The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, 443 Greenwich Street, 7th floor will also host open studios May 16 from 1 to 8pm and May 17 from 12 to 6pm and features the work of Joe Fig (BFA 1991, MFA 2002 Fine Arts).
