The work of BFA photography faculty member Gerald Slota is currently on display in an exhibition entitled Fable at the Ricco/Maresca Gallery, 529 West 20 Street, 3rd floor. Slota uses classic children’s tales as the inspiration for his photographic images, emphasizing the darkness and chaos within each story. Some of the tales include: Rapunzel, Tom Thumb, The Donkey Skin, and Molly Whipple. Slota’s work may be found in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Fable runs until June 14.
