Community Service in the House

November 22, 2002

Secret Santas are wanted by SVA Helpers and New York Cares to provide holiday gifts to needy teens and children in a local shelter. SVA has letters and cards from 125 children who have made wishes to Santa. All gifts should be wrapped and brought to the Campus Life Office (23 Lexington Avenue, mezzanine) no later than December 6.

The Hudson Guild Community Center in Chelsea and SVA Helpers are working together to bring some joy to shut-in senior citizens through their Senior Citizens’ Gift Program. Anyone who would like to donate something should keep the following in mind: gifts should be unwrapped and suitable for an elderly person (e.g., hats, gloves, slippers, perfume, etc.) All gifts should be brought to the Office of Campus Life Office no later than December 4. For more information on either of these two worthwhile programs, contact Tina Crayton at, or 592.2141.
