Emergency Grant Offers Relief

June 21, 2002

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation has established a special World Trade Center Emergency Grant Program designed to benefit individual visual artists who have been directly affected by the events of September 11. $375,000 in funding has gone to those artists who need it most: professionals displaced from their homes and/or studios and whose tools, materials, and artworks were destroyed due to the crisis. Forty-five artists have received the award, including three MFA Fine Arts alumni: Suzanne McClelland (1989), Oona Stern (1996), and Geraldine Lau (1997). In addition to the World Trade Center grant, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation continues to offer an international grant program for fine artists.
