New Scholarship Fund from Visual Arts Foundation

March 14, 2002

The Visual Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the newly created Charles & Marie Egnasko Scholarship Fund. Income from the fund will be used to provide scholarships for students demonstrating both artistic promise and financial need. Charles and Marie, who retired at the end of last year, worked at SVA for a combined total of more than 70 years; their dedication and loyalty to the SVA community makes them a logical choice as the source for this fund’s name.

Additionally, information is now available for students interested in scholarships and awards for the 2002-2003 academic year. An information packet was recently mailed to all full-time SVA students. To apply for scholarships offered by the Foundation, students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and be entering the sophomore year of study in the fall of 2002. Application deadline is April 15, 2002. For further information, students can call the Visual Arts Foundation at 212.260.7607.
