A Novel Assignment, A Perfect Execution

Instructor Tobi Kahn, who teaches a freshman course called Painting and Color, asked everyone in the class to make something from a roll of toilet paper. Student Jiae Kim delivered the goods: a tantalizingly real-looking box of simulated Duncan Donuts. In addition to toilet paper, she used glue, baby powder, water, sugar and acrylic paint. It prompted one hungry administrator to say of these faux confections, “Mmmm, mmmm.”
